Artist

I'm a Montreal-based painter working in oil, acrylic, and collage on large-scale canvas. My work pulls from old family photographs and memories: Florida vacations, backyard gatherings, suburban scenes. The subjects are personal, but the feeling of looking back at these moments is a universally familiar experience.

I was introduced to painting by my grandfather, often painting alongside him as a child. I studied Studio Arts at Concordia University and showed in group exhibitions, continuing to paint and sell work privately in Canada, Qatar, and Jordan.

In my recent work, what interests me most are the details that come forward when I stop trying to be so intentional. The work is much looser and more gestural now, and I let the surfaces build up through layers of paint and collage where texture, memory, and nostalgia overlap.
